Title: *GCI* What are the best settings on a camera for recording gameplay? Post by: MrPillow on February 16, 2012, 03:18:02 pm I want to make some videos but don't know what I should be doing as far as gamma, contrast etc so that the video look like a giant white glowly thingy... wow that was a horrible simile.
I caught a collateral on film yesterday but you cant even tell what happened :(((( Title: Re: What are the best settings on a camera for recording gameplay? Post by: Squire Grooktook on February 16, 2012, 08:36:55 pm Camera? Why not use Capture Card.
If I can do it you can do it. Title: Re: What are the best settings on a camera for recording gameplay? Post by: Turboweasle on February 16, 2012, 08:38:34 pm I assume he asks because he doesn't have/can't afford a capture card.
Pillow, Keihan could probably give you decent advice. I know he uses a capture card, but he's done so much recording he may be able to help. Same with Doublegunz, and maybe BMan too. Title: Re: What are the best settings on a camera for recording gameplay? Post by: Squire Grooktook on February 16, 2012, 08:44:49 pm I got my Capture Card pretty cheap. If you plan on recording lots of gameplay off your tv, it's probably a really good idea to just pay the 20 dollars, wait a few days, And get the card for high quality videos throughout the future. You most likely won't regret it.
Of course, if you're only going to do one or two videos that's another story. But I would highly recommend ordering one off the internet if you plan on posting lots of videos. Title: Re: What are the best settings on a camera for recording gameplay? Post by: Squire Grooktook on February 18, 2012, 01:15:39 am If you're just going to do one or two videos and that's it, that's fine. But if you plan on doing videos in the long term I would recommend a capture card. It not only gets you great quality, but it's also way more convenient then setting up a camera perfect every time.
