Title: Setting up the clan discussion
Post by: MrPillow on May 09, 2012, 12:36:15 am
Alright, so we have a lot to establish. Please give your opinion on each of these.

Standards for getting, skillwise

Standards, personality

Structure (leaders and captains and all that ****)

Practice times

How many people we want?

Recruitment forum

Policies and rules and ****

My two cents:

Skillwise, only the absolute best. I want to be accepting the JTRambomans, Barricades, Ingsmashas, Biochickens of this game. Not the moh definition of an elite, but the very best.

personaility, just dont be a **** ****. id prefer people at least 18-19 years old

structure ive already voiced my opinion, i personally dont want any ranks or ****. we all just come to a concensus.

practice: my work schedule is mon thru thurs 5pmest -11pmest fri: 5pm-midnight sat: 4pm-midnight sun: off (though ill be working mothers day) i usually sleep around 5am-1pm

People we want? I'm thinking 3 3 man teams.

Recruitment forum? I'd like a dedicated forum for people to post applications as well as for clans to challenge us.

policies?: I think multi-clanning is fine as long as it doesn't interfere with the actual divisions. And people who play a game competitively are expected to always be apart of our division if it exissts. only join another clan if its for a game that we dont play. also, usual no hacking/cheating/glitching/disconnecting stuff, when you'll be recognized as a member of wii unite, not just when you have the tag in

oh more thing i forgot to mention:

do we want to be a tec/wt/f5 or a vt/hw/bc

in that we're just looking for a fun group of gamers to play together with or we wanna be super serious best awesomenauts team in the world. i kinda wouldnt mind having like a top 3 players team we could use to grab a win off everyone while everyone in the clan could still enjoy themselves and play clan wars. i really dont care about our win/loss record

I'm okay with anyone decently competent who's willing to play with clanmates frequently.  However, if we can grab the best of the best right off the bat, we shouldn't lower our standards.

Standards, personality

Don't act like Zzz in a "Which clan is best" argument and we're good.

I'm interested in seeing how the TEC model works for us.

Practice times

Could be set up in more detail once we have enough members for a full team, but for now at least twice a week.  I'm free basically any time from 11 AM to ~ 5 PM CST, after that it depends on what my family decides to do, but I'll still have free time.

How many people we want?

Ideally as many as want to get in and are good enough.  I'd say > 20 for one game might be problematic, but as we plan to have different divisions across the systems, I don't think having a large clan will be too bad.

What should the requirements be for recruitment?  Is a mic necessary?  Age requirement? Etc.

No inter-clan drama.  That sh** kills a team.

You should be able to hold your own in the tryout with two other WU members. If the team is dominating but you're failing miserably, you're out. This is really up to the recruiter to make the call.

Just anyone who doesn't start drama. I don't really agree with the over 18 thing. I just turned 18 and I was never an ****. Up til I was about 17 I could be annoying at times, but I never purposefully made anyone uncomfortable or angry unless they initiated it.

I like the democracy for the clan in General, but I still think we need in-game captains. Not someone who completely owns the team but at least someone to make decisions.

I also think we should discuss who our recruiters will be. IMO we could have two players team up with the guy and see how good he is.

Same as Turbo pretty much.

I'd like to have a main team [WU] for our best players, and a second [WUb] for pretty much anyone to join. I don't want to alienate people who would like to play but aren't pros.

I think it should have its own section at the top of the forum, not with the rest of the clans.

Already covered anything I can think of
