Title: Re: Guess what I bought, Lakkus. :) Post by: Alumar on August 29, 2012, 02:10:26 pm You have a steering wheel, we have no chance against you. >:D
Title: Re: Guess what I bought, Lakkus. :) Post by: Cadillak on August 29, 2012, 09:22:34 pm Not true. The best racer I know uses a controller. Its easier imo.
Title: Re: Guess what I bought, Lakkus. :) Post by: Hound, Grey Hound on August 30, 2012, 10:08:52 pm I don't play too much of anything right now. School started so I'm pretty burnt. I am excited to see the F1 race this weekend, it's at Spa in Belgium. Fun track to play hopefully fun to watch.
As for the wheel; I think it has it's pros and cons. I find it easier to finesse with the wheel and easier to hold a line but when I start to loose control or straight up crash, which I always do, I find the controller easier to recover. Title: Re: Guess what I bought, Lakkus. :) Post by: Cadillak on August 31, 2012, 11:37:15 am Very true. The wheel is much less forgiving. Drifting is also way easier with a controller
Title: Re: Guess what I bought, Lakkus. :) Post by: Alumar on August 31, 2012, 05:20:57 pm Weird. I was thinking with a wheel you could be more accurate and have better car control.

You do have better control. Its just harder to recover quickly when you mess up. You can change the direction if your wheels extremely fast with a controller, which is good for drifting and recovering from a mistake. With a wheel, you have to physically turn the wheel to turn the wheels. The wheel is better suited for precision turning. Id you don't screw up, the wheel is much better for racing. I use the wheel all the time but sometimes its easier to just use a controller. I prefer using a wheel and pedals for everything but drifting. Title: Re: Guess what I bought, Lakkus. :) Post by: Cadillak on August 31, 2012, 07:25:25 pm btw, I'll probably be online racing late tonight if anyone wants to play. I can host the server and we can make it private if you guys don't want to race with randoms. Send me a message on the PS3 if you need or want any cars/paint/etc and I'll hook you up. Also, I have 6 badass cars set up for you to borrow from my profile if you want to try them out whenever you feel like. Just select my name from the list of friends in game and you can select to use my cars that are set up to be borrowed. I think I have the Red Bull X2010, Ferrari F1 2010, Mazda 787B (my favorite race car), and 3 other bad mofos I can't remember right now. I have almost every car in the game so just message me anytime you see a car you want that is below the $1 million dollar trade cap. I know how to duplicate cars so don't worry about what car it is, just ask. |
