Post by: Tiger on November 19, 2012, 01:13:01 am
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's third DLC instalment is set to be released December 4th for 1600 Microsoft points, or whatever the equivalent to that is in dollars; over twenty.

Yet still no DLC for PS3, right?

PS3 needs to get all the DLC free

Bethesda has really dropped the ball with the PS3.  I'm glad I can play Skyrim on the PC now, otherwise I'd be pissed.

Also, this might be the only DLC I get for Skyrim.  The others just didn't seem that interesting.

I bought both Hearthfire and Dawnguard.  Hearthfire is definitely worth it for the added content at only 400 Microsoft Points (or the dollar equivalent) but Dawnguard may not be, depending on how much of an aspiring ES fan you are.  I bought it, but I definitely think it's overpriced.  Wait and see the reviews of Dragonborn I suppose.

It looks like Dragonborn will be an expansion like the Shivering Isles was for Oblivion, since I think they show Morrowind a couple of times (and a few other places as well) in the trailer.  I'm guessing Dawnguard was just Skyrim's version of the Knights of the Nine "expansion" quest in Oblivion.  That's why I wasn't interested.

But Shivering Isles was my favorite quest/expansion out of almost everything in Oblivion, so I'm excited about Dragonborn.

Same here, Shivering Isles was pretty good.  Sadly, my Oblivion disc stopped working after only 25 hours of gameplay, so I haven't been able to play the majority of Oblivion, but I've wasted many hours reading about it at a Skyrim wiki.

I bought Dragonborn today, just starting it now.

Also, looks like PS3 DLC will be coming. http://www.4pgames.net/3903/news/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-dlc-coming-to-playstation-3-in-2013/

I won't hold my breath.

Let us know how the DLC is.

Unlike Dawnguard where there are just new locations on your map of Skyrim, Dragonborn takes you to a whole new map (Solstheim, Morrowind) and their are tons of locations.  Seems a lot bigger than Dawnguard so far, but I haven't really done that much.

It's cool talking to the guards, and hearing Dunmer voices instead of Nord. It would've been funny if they had an "arrow to the knee" line for them too.
