Title: Handy
Post by: Ress on February 17, 2013, 12:06:51 am
I'm stuck.  I don't know what anime to watch.  I've gone through Tonari No Kaibutsu-kun, Suki-tte Ii na yo, Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, Toradora!, Angel Beats! (loved that shiiizzz), Clannad, and a whole bunch more where I'm forgetting their weird names.

I need more of this kinda stuff.  Nerding out way too hard.  Angel Beats and Maid-sama were by far the best from the genre that I've seen thus far.  Now I don't know what else to watch.  :(

Ah **** that show finished on a ****-up note.  I don't know how I feel about it.  It's good but it's **** up.

Moving on now.

Just finished ef - a tale of memores and ef - a tale of melodies.

It should be illegal to make shows that make you cry all the time.

Why is Handy not answering? If someone made a thread directed at me, I'd answer it.

Soooooooooooooo, I feel bad for just now noticing this thread, but to answer questions:

If you have not watched Clannad After Story, do so right this moment. Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun was fun, but was just meh overall. Sukitte Ii na yo was mediocre at best. Maid-sama is enjoyable, as is Toradora if you can make it past the violent tsunderes. YnS has twincest, thats all you need to know about it.

As far as other ish, Candy Boy if you want yuri(lezzie) twincest, Mushishi just because its the greatest animu ever made, The World God Only Knows(Kami Nomi Zo Shiru Sekai) because Keima's a pimp and LC is adorable(oh and don't forget to read the whole mango as it makes it infinitely better), Hotarubi no Mori he for delightfully sad movie, 5 cm/s(aka 5 wallpapers/s) for scenery **** and sad but good movie. And above all, go watch the entirety of Haruhi(yes, I mean both seasons, and yes I mean the entirety, including all 8 eps of endless 8) just so you can cream your pants at The Disappearance movie. That should give you a good start. Oh, and you can always join me for a weekly stream and watch a weekly or two with me.

Oh, Amagami too, so you can feel my pain from Sae's VA, and experience my rage at the Rihoko ending.

My favorite is Hotarubi no Mori e. Handy is right, it is delightfully sad!

I loved Angel Beats, too! I watched it a second time on Netflix!

Did you cry from how bad the dub was?

Also, we need to watch Natsume Yuujinchou too Junebug. Same author/artist as Hotarubi no Mori e.

Which dub? Hotarubi or or Angel Beats? Either way I don't speak the language so I couldn't tell a difference...

Man I've watched like every sienen/romance/school life anime there is now.  Just finished Kimi Ni Todoke.  So many times where I wanted to smack some sense into that ring girl.

Also, KnT is a josei/shoujo for the record.

Get your powerlevel up so I have someone to watch Seitokai no Ichizon with who will get the rampant references. Or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Or Nyaruko. I <3 my comedies with tons of references, makes em that much funnier. Though SZS does more political commentary than references, though everything on the blackboards/posters is reference city.

Here's your task:

http://myanimelist.net/animelist/DaBear

Go down to the "Completed" list and go through and watch all the ones I gave 10s(just click "score" and it'll rearrange it with 10s on top). Those are quality shows you should watch. 9s as well, but that 9s list is significantly longer. Also, keep in mind that list is still not everything I've seen as I forget to put things on it all the time and I know I'm missing at least 20 series from forgetting.

The only 10 on your list that I want to watch is Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu.  I've only watched like 5 mins of the pilot so far.

I actually mean Suzumiya Haruhi No Yuuutsu and not the movie.

Watch all of the series, in airing order(you can do chronological if you're a pu(http://)ssy) and then prepare your body for the movie. The movie is so good, the first time I saw it I couldn't watch anything else for days and feel fulfilled. So I just ended up watching it 4 times in 3 days.

Oh, and Oreimo. Watch that too. Your love of tsundere's will probably make you love that one
