Title: No 3rd party support
Post by: GUMBY-KID on April 01, 2013, 10:33:24 am
I couldn't help but notice the lack of third party support, Nintendo is failing again to bring in the **** gamers.  There won't be a Battlefield 4 on the Wii U due to lack of sales.  Also just looking at how many people are online in Black Ops 2 worries me, it's around 2000 if I remember correctly.  Nintendo should have released the console with a must-have game like a new Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Super smash bros, or even Metroid.  And the lack of sales is also why Activision is not trying to get DLC on the console.
What are your thoughts on the subject?

Yeah, lets get this back on topic.

Three big 3rd party games came out two weeks ago. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Lego City Undercover and Need for Speed Most Wanted U. Have all three of them and they're pretty fun. Most of my friend list that are usually playing the Wii U got Monster Hunter. Some got Lego City and Need for Speed. If you're not interested in those games that's fine. We would have had Rayman back in February if Ubisoft didn't delay it.

To me, these games will last me for quite a while. I agree that it's lacking some 3rd party support but that's mainly on the 3rd party themselves since they can't seem to come up with anything.

With the rumor about the EA/Nintendo partnership they were going to have fell through, that could also be a reason for Battlefield not coming to Wii U. But this is just something we'll have to wait until E3 to see what's on the 3rd party front that we don't know about yet.

I hate racing games.  Lego games will always be on the main platforms, but I'm not ever playing that stuff.  And Rayman has sucked since the beginning.
These dark times are the result of Nintendo's deeds, yet it is us who will endure the penalty.

What about Monster Hunter?

Monster Hunter is the best game on the Wii U so far IMO.

Rayman 2 was a good game IIRC. It just felt really imaginative with it's presentation and style.

Also isn't Platinum Games developing a game for both Wii U and 3ds right now?

I loved Rayman 2 when I was playing it back when I had a Nintendo 64 (still have one but with Rush 2). Never beat it though. I plan on getting it for the 3DS eventually.

@Squire- Platinum Games is working on two Wii U games though. The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2.

Yes that's the one, for some reason I was under the impression Wonderful 101 was a 3ds game.

The monster hunter game looks like it might be fun, but the graphics look bad, but that might be because I'm used to PC.

That's what most of the people interested in the Wii U that don't have it yet are planning on doing.

The new Batman: Arkham Origins was announced for Wii U yesterday and today Splinter Cell Blacklist was confirmed. I also forgot about Watch Dogs and Deus Ex.

@Gumby Monster Hunter looks pretty good. But it may look bad at some points since it was a sort of port of the 3DS version.
