Title: Microsoft's E3 Press Conference Streams/Updates/Details Post by: Turboweasle on June 10, 2013, 10:38:40 am Watch live streams here:
http://www.gamespot.com/e3/microsoft-press-conference/ (http://www.gamespot.com/e3/microsoft-press-conference/) http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hub (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hub) (Stream starts at 9 AM PST/12 PM EST) Updates about games and the XBOX One will go here: - Possible classic Rare franchise and Kinect sports game announced at pre-show - Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain will be on XBOne; possibly set in Afghanistan; will include real-time weather, improved stealth and close-quarters combat, and multiple modes of transportation. - A new Xbox 360 version will be released, and Gold Live accounts (new and existing) will be given two free games - World of Tanks is coming to the Xbox 360, with 15 vs 15 multiplayer matches. - Max: The Brotherhood of Pain (which seems to be a sidescrolling platformer) is an exclusive for Xbox 360 - Dark Souls II will be on Xbox One - Ryse, a God of War-like button masher/quicktime event RPG is announced for the Xbox One as an exclusive. Follows the exploits of a Roman soldier during war campaigns by the looks of the footage shown. Has Smart Glass integration, you can view the stats of other players on your friends list on mobile devices. - Killer Instinct, a fighting game, announced as an Xbox One exclusive. - Sunset Overdrive, a stylized, open-world FPS, announced as an exclusive for Xbox One. No gameplay shown. - Forza 5 announced, will use the cloud to "do away with AI" once and for all. Your "drivatar" will learn to race like you race, and will race against other people via the cloud while you're away. When you come back to the game, you reap the rewards of your drivatar's racing. - An improved version of Minecraft 360 Edition is announced for the XBox One. - A cutscene of Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break was shown; nothing new is known at this time. Looks pretty, I guess. - Episodic murder mystery that seems to take place on a plane (at least partially), titled D4, announced as an exclusive for Xbox One. - Project Spark announced, seems to be centered around Kinect voice commands. Seems to be similar to Minecraft in that you can shape the world to your liking. Includes rudimentary AI programming for objects in the world, such as getting rocks to follow you. Also showed some interesting combat mechanics, particularly manipulating the earth under you and "flying" (think Frozone in The Incredibles). Seems to be somewhat combat-centric from the gameplay shown. Smart Glass integrated with Project Spark for at least the combat and making detailed changes to the world. - Studio Upload allows you to record games, edit the clips, include commentary using Kinect, and upload it to the cloud to share with your friends, all without leaving the game. - Xbox One can broadcast live gameplay on twitch.tv. - At the very least expanding the friends list to more than 100 friends, possibly removing limit altogether. Microsoft Points being scrapped, Xbox One will now use real-world currencies based on what country you're in. - Crimson Dragon announced for Xbox One, but the audio cut out so we're not sure what it is. Looked similar to a 3D shmup? - Dead Rising 3 will be on Xbox One, features integration with Smart Glass. Also boasts variety in weapons, to the tune of "everything is a weapon." Didn't get to see much of that in the gameplay shown. And apparently zombies can't climb cars. Also, you can use a phone/tablet equipped with Smart Glass to launch artillery at the zombies. Was stated that Dead Rising 3 will have no load times. - Witcher 3 will be on Xbox One, featuring an aged Geralt. - Battlefield 4 was demoed after a shaky start with missing audio. It's another Battlefield game. Xbox One will get the first DLC pack sooner than everyone else. I'm more surprised that there's going to be planned DLC for a game that hasn't even been released yet. - A roguelike sidescroller-ish game, possibly titled "Below", announced for Xbox One. - Another Halo game announced. - Xbox One launches this year in November at $499 USD (will be £429/$667 in the UK/Europe) - Microsoft claimed Titanfall, a mech shooter that looks similar in gameplay to CoD, will be an Xbox One exclusive, but some sites are reporting that Titanfall will be on PC as well. Feel free to post information you have about the conference if you don't see it up here and I'll incorporate it to the list!
