Title: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 16, 2013, 12:48:20 pm Before you think "lolno" because the bundle is for Origin titles, you get Steam keys for a fair amount of the games.
https://www.humblebundle.com/ (https://www.humblebundle.com/) Right now you can get 8 games (most of which have Steam keys) for $4.81. Not bad if you're building up your Steam library. Battlefield 3 is even in there, although you have to play that on Origin. Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 16, 2013, 12:57:29 pm The games are:
- Dead Space - Dead Space 3 - Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box - Battlefield 3 - Medal of Honor - Mirror's Edge - The Sims 3 (plus High End Loft Stuff and Late Night DLC) - Crysis 2 Maximum Edition Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 16, 2013, 01:06:01 pm There all EA Games!!! Sounds like a good deal, lot of HDD space combined in those games, some big files, like a lot of things ill wait until my new desktop O0
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: DoubleGunz on August 16, 2013, 01:32:14 pm Worth it solely for Burnout. Mhmmmmmmmm ^-^

Sounds like a good deal, lot of HDD space combined in those games, some big files, like a lot of things ill wait until my new desktop O0 I wouldn't wait much longer to get the keys though, the average price is only going to increase, which means you'll need to pay extra to get BF3 and the Sims. Worth it solely for Burnout. Mhmmmmmmmm ^-^ Or dat Mirror's Edge. Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: DoubleGunz on August 16, 2013, 08:13:48 pm One of the few apparently great games of this gen I haven't played. I don't really know why.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 16, 2013, 08:33:00 pm It's very much a niche game. If you want to feel like you're actually running across rooftops, if you want to experience a (surprising) amount of freedom in what is a quite linear game, and if you're okay with the "story" being rather shallow and short, then Mirror's Edge is an incredible game and I'd recommend it highly. But it's not for everyone and it's not perfect.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 16, 2013, 09:23:58 pm Wait so combined its 4.81? Doesn't even make sense now lol.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 16, 2013, 09:26:26 pm It was at the time that I posted this topic. The average price will likely continue to go up, as you need to pay above the average to get BF3 and The Sims 3.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 16, 2013, 09:27:58 pm I see what it is now. Yeah Ill purchase it, it was at 4.81 a minute ago.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 16, 2013, 09:36:13 pm Right on. We can play some BF3 together. O0
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 17, 2013, 09:49:25 am Hell yeah, I have seen plenty of youtube videos of BF3 running on my intel hd graphics card, so i should be fine on a lower resolution setting. I played the Medal Of Honor game for ps3 a while ago, so thats really the only one I dont care if I have or not. Definitely wanna try dead space, dead space 3, burnout & mirrors edge though too lol. Once again, why do I buy so many damn games, I'll never ever have time to play them, and come next week Ill probably buy a few more.

I wish I knew the answer to that. Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 17, 2013, 10:05:43 am Hey we could have worse problems right O0
Like looking at this BF3 download and it being 19 GB's... Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 17, 2013, 10:09:57 am First world problems for sure. And it's a rather sizeable file, yeah. Took me 3.5 hours to download it averaging >1 MBps. That's megabyte, not megabit.
Basically, good luck downloading that sometime this week on your internet. :-\ Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 17, 2013, 10:24:39 am Lol right, I'm in luck though. I'm at my parents house right now, they have rougly 18 MBPS on a speedtest, so when I leave to go play baseball in a little while, I'll start the dowload and make sure my computer doesn't idle. It should be done in a matter of hours. Burnout paradise is almost done, about a 2.5 gb file, and that will be around 20-25 mins, not bad at all.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 17, 2013, 11:50:39 am Sweet, maybe we can play some this weekend then.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 18, 2013, 05:55:29 pm There playoffs are over, I got BF3 downloaded, let me do a few other things here and ill get it runing.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Turboweasle on August 18, 2013, 06:04:11 pm Alright, good luck getting it to run. Let me know if you find a good optimization guide.
Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: Laughing Turd on August 18, 2013, 07:27:51 pm lolol yeah BF3 is a terribly large piece of software. I really hope you guys enjoy it though. I didn't like it much at first but it really grew on me. I guess you can say I'm a fanboy now, kind of like how CoD has it's mass of raging fanboys too. But if you guys like it then hopefully you'll like BF4 when it comes out too and I'll have more people from WU to play with.
I'm sure BF4 is also going to be a huge ass game too. Oh and I don't have that problem of buying games I don't ever play because I'm too poor to buy a lot of games. Things are actually looking much better for me though so I'll probably be buying a little bit more. Thing is, when I sit down to play I usually just want to play BAttlefield (maybe I'm not so much a gamer as i thought). This humble bundle thing looked really awesome but I had to skip out because no good computer. Oh well, I'm sure I'll find deal like these later on. Hope you queers have fun though. Title: Re: Humble Origin Bundle Post by: ĪSaucelotĪ on August 19, 2013, 02:16:16 pm Most of those games that came with it ill never actually play lol. No but a lot, even some games I owned even before the bundle, ill wait to play when I get my new PC. Its definitely a great deal. And you do get two copies of some of the games, just so you know. For instance, dead space 1, burnout, mirrors edge, medal of honor, and crysis 2 you get 1 steam key, and 1 origin key. I **** up and redeemed both burnout keys on my computer/ accounts lol. |
