Title: Fun with WATER! (photography) Post by: Keihan on October 20, 2013, 04:33:26 pm Played around today with some water photography for a school project. I still need two more images for a full 10.

(photography) Post by: Keihan on October 20, 2013, 04:37:33 pm I couldn't think of an idea/concept for the project at first. It was just about dropping objects into water/throwing objects at cups of water, etc....
Then, I had a chat with my teacher, and she helped me to think of some ideas, but I wanted to keep the fun intact without being too obvious to the concept. It's supposed to deal with clean vs dirty water. The red/white/blue is to symbolize the United States, or any other country with clean water that runs in abundance. I still need 2 more photos (WATER BALLOONS!!!), and need to edit the 8 above photos a bit more. Title: Re: Fun with WATER! I'm guessing that's from the plain white background? I'd suggest for the next shoot putting in other light sources of differing color. Just trust me. I took a photograph once so I'm pretty much an expert.
The second one reminds me of the opening for The Pacific. That was a beautiful intro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrbEmTRhBAI Title: Re: Fun with WATER! (photography) Post by: Keihan on January 30, 2014, 06:56:00 pm Thanks, Jabba. I don't know why they came out so blue. The first two photos I took (first two shown) already had that blue tint, and then the rest also had it. I had to edit a few to get the blue tint to be similar on all of them.
Natural lighting was used (shot these in my backyard with poster board for the background. Title: Re: Fun with WATER! I'm trying to shoot a wedding as a second shooter so I get the experience first. I would like to be the primary shooter eventually. I use a Canon T4i (650d), and these were all shot with an 18-135 f/3.5 lens. Title: Re: Fun with WATER! If it was, I'd definitely ask the professor what's up with the blue. Still, they're awesome. Wish I had them skills. O0 |
