Title: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Oomomo953 on January 02, 2014, 09:34:49 pm So, who you guys think will win?
I'd pick the Broncos to win it all. A Broncos vs Seahawks super bowl would be great too. Unfortunately, I don't see the chiefs getting very far. :-[ Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Autumn1194 on January 02, 2014, 10:42:41 pm as much as I hate the seacocks.... I think theywontmake it to the superbowl.
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 02, 2014, 10:52:09 pm Broncos vs Seahawks ,scary teams in afc and nfc would be the Bengals and the Packers

Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 02, 2014, 11:52:06 pm I want the 9ers to win, Pack is the team that scares me the most with cobb and rodgers back, if the Saints win then saints come to seattle for sure, if they lose then its the winner of the packers-9ers game who play on sunday in -0 degree temp and have to come to seattle on a saturday which would make it a very short week to rest recover and game plan, I like Seattles odds against any of those teams, I'd rather have the Saints thoug I feel like thats the easiest win
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 02, 2014, 11:53:25 pm cheifs will beat the seahawks in the superbowl Remember how headstrong you were on the Seahawks not having the best defense in the NFL? Yards per game: 273.6 (1st), 25 yards better than the second place team Points per game: 14.4 (1st) Rushing yards per game: 101.6 (7th) Passing yards per game: 172.0 (1st) Takeaways: 39 (1st), 8 more than the second place team Opposing QB's: 3050 yards, 5.8 YPA, 16 TD's, 28 INT's. They basically turned every QB into Eli Manning. No other defense was even close to Seattle, and this is a better defense than the defense the Bucs had in 2002. The deep middle can't be touched because of ET, whatever side Sherman is playing can't be touched, Maxwell is straight up trucking everyone and between Lane and Thurmond, your slot WR isn't anything special. Have fun winning a game with 6 yard passes. San Fran isn't getting past GB this weekend. Why not? O:BECAUSE I WANT THEM TO Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Autumn1194 on January 02, 2014, 11:54:19 pm remember when who cares?

Maxwell has been eating up the intermediate passing game lately so I'm not all that worried about Rodgers. Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 03, 2014, 12:07:25 am Harbaugh cries a little because it's too cold, Kaepernick regrets not going the MLB route, Frank Gore can't read.
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 03, 2014, 12:08:21 am gonna be a cold ass game, don't see to many passes being thrown, 9ers are tough against the run, will be a tough one for the pack to pull out
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 03, 2014, 12:09:29 am Rodgers has never had any issues throwing in the cold before. I don't think the gameplan changes all that much.
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: CitizenSoldier3 on January 03, 2014, 12:14:43 am Cold temps is a bonus to homefield advantage, gb knows how to play in all temps.
As for 6 yd pass plays, only need 2 for every set of downs. Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 03, 2014, 12:17:49 am Cold temps is a bonus to homefield advantage, gb knows how to play in all temps. Every team knows how to play in cold temperatures. These are football players, they prepare for everything. As for 6 yd pass plays, only need 2 for every set of downs. Oh great, you only need 13 for an 80 yard drive. Sounds easy enough. Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Kreater on January 03, 2014, 12:20:20 am Harbaugh cries a little because it's too cold, Kaepernick regrets not going the MLB route, Frank Gore can't read. yup, autumn was right, you are scared of the Niners. :D Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 03, 2014, 12:22:13 am green bay is 3-4 when temp is 6 degrees lower , not sure how aaron rodgers connects to that stat because that is in green bays history, so game time temp is forecast for a high of -3 and a low of -19 and that isn't even counting the wind chill. So sure maybe he has played well in cold weather but honestly i don't think any of these players have played a game in this cold of weather before, we are talking about ice bowl numbers
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 03, 2014, 12:23:19 am Nah, I don't think they stand a chance if they play at Seattle. In SF is a close matchup sure, but Seattle has more talent on the roster. Carroll's ability to scheme around his own players is phenomenal, specifically on defense. Guys like Red Bryant, Chancellor, Sherman aren't the ideal players for other defenses, but Carroll is a genius when it comes to utilizing his talent properly.

Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 03, 2014, 12:28:51 am Side note: How lame are coach of the year and executive of the year awards? Odds are, Carroll and Schneider won't get them, when there isn't really any competition to what they've done. Take any other coach and slap him on Seattle and he wouldn't get 60% of the production out of these players.
This whole "improvement" bullshit that wins the award is ridiculous. You shouldn't be awarded for the guy before you being terrible. Those teams are garbage. C'mon man Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Handass on January 03, 2014, 08:57:02 am Broncos vs Seahawks ,scary teams in afc and nfc would be the Bengals and the Packers If only we could play well on the road. Those teams are garbage. C'mon man Huge breaks means making football plays? If that's the case every team needed huge breaks. You forget that Seattle played Houston while having only one starting lineman, no Wagner, Robinson, or Irvin. Houston still had Cushing and Foster. Houston now isn't the same Houston Seattle played. St. Louis has a ridiculous pass rush, of course they are going to give Seattle trouble. The second time wasn't a contest however. Arizona is a good football team, with a better defense than San Francisco. You're delusional if you think other wise. Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on January 03, 2014, 09:57:42 am San Fran wasn't lucky to beat Seattle just because of the 51 yard run at the end of the game. They weren't lucky just because of the pick 6 against Atlanta. Those are football plays that happened and if you ignore them, you have to ignore the other football plays they make. Same goes for Seattle.
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Kreater on January 03, 2014, 04:18:38 pm I'm not denying the pick 6 against the falcons. The Arizona game was only close because Greg Roman is a fucktard that announces his plays to the world. He mixed up the plays in the first quarter and then ran up the gut for the rest of the game against the number 1 rush d in the league. SF beat the teams that Seaderall barely escaped from by large margins.

Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 10, 2014, 09:03:57 pm thats around what i got, in the nfl its hard to beat a team twice within a relatively short time span, so I don't think hawks will blow out the saints like last time I do think the weather ( its gonna be very windy and wet ) will affect a passing team like the saints. and the other 3 I have like you have as very close games, if I was gonna call an upset I would say the bolts win.
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Red Fatality on January 10, 2014, 09:14:42 pm seahawks 28 saints 24
Pats 24-colts 21 49ers 21 carolina 17 I hope carolina wins denver 42 san diego 17 Alot of people keep picking san diego cause "manning chokes" etc they match up decent i guess but i don't see it. Denver has a underated defense in the regular season they usually have a big ass lead and never play to their full potential Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 10, 2014, 09:21:58 pm its not just the manning choke thing, diego is red hot right now and they match up well against the broncos and they have already beaten them once this year which gives them confidence, just found out that ryan mathews is probably not gonna play though which sucks because he has been playing great as of late. but really in my heart I want to see a broncos seahawks super bowl because that IMO would be the best game possible out of the remaining teams
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Red Fatality on January 10, 2014, 09:29:26 pm to me its amazing how the seahawks turned it around wasn't all that long ago they where just a mediocre type team. Now they are one of the best if not the best team in the league. Just goes to show you that coaching and geting the right guys that can draft makes all the difference cudos to the whole seahawks org. Pete Carroll is a beast imo

Didnt see you outside this past week Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Permanent Poopface on January 10, 2014, 09:54:56 pm no doubt carroll and schneider , turned over almost the whole damn roster 3 years ago when they took over and how fast they got where they are is amazing, they really drafted good in late rounds which makes there salary cap low and makes them be able to sign players like avril and bennett in the offseason, but with that said , they have a short window until those rookie contracts are up and wont be able to keep such a loaded roster so they need to start winning super bowls soon
Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: Slaught3r on January 11, 2014, 10:14:34 am its not just the manning choke thing, diego is red hot right now and they match up well against the broncos and they have already beaten them once this year which gives them confidence, just found out that ryan mathews is probably not gonna play though which sucks because he has been playing great as of late. but really in my heart I want to see a broncos seahawks super bowl because that IMO would be the best game possible out of the remaining teams Agree with Dave. Picked the Chargers based on momentum and sometimes the bye team can come out rusty and lay a deuce. Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: jd111 on January 11, 2014, 11:51:17 am I'd like to see the Bolts win, but I'm not sold on them being 'hot' right now. Cincy sucks, and San Diego got beat by the Chiefs' scrubs at home (had it not been for shitty officials).

Title: Re: 2014 NFL Playoffs Post by: CitizenSoldier3 on February 03, 2014, 03:20:13 pm Why is it minnesota teams get rid of players and a year or 2 later the players win the championship? Dont believe, pistons, celtics, seahawks, rays just to list afew in the past 10 years. |
