Title: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Autumn1194 on February 04, 2014, 10:07:18 am This just in, Bronco fans from all around Utah are claiming that Peyton Manning rigged the game.. They are also Using such terms as "he's an overpaid pony", "maybe we should have kept Tim Tebow" and my personal favorite "that wouldn't have happened to John Elway".

Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Autumn1194 on February 04, 2014, 10:33:44 am Lol Peyton manning has probably made more money in his career than anyone on that seattle roster combined. This is just a product of broncos fans having a meltdown... It happens quite a bit.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Permanent Poopface on February 04, 2014, 10:39:01 am if anybody actually watched the game they would know it wasn't that Manning played terrible it was that the Hawks defense was just to much for him, only qb that would of had a chance would of been a mobile qb, thats why I laughed at the broncos fans
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Termin8or on February 04, 2014, 10:45:26 am I was joking b) However, Denver made the Seattle defense look better than it was. It's very good, but Denver was absolutely horrible.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Permanent Poopface on February 04, 2014, 10:51:26 am Denver was horrible because they have not faced a defense like seattle before, they had no time to throw the ball, and when they did either there wr's were covered or they would try a bubble screen or short crossing pattern and they would be tackled by 3-4 guys right away, they couldn't run the ball. Think what you want but it was the hawks d that made them play horrible. That was one of the best defensensive performances in super bowl history! I mean come on in todays age of nfl rules geared towards passing teams, the alltime best scoring offense! you stop them like that, lets give credit where credit is due.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Permanent Poopface on February 04, 2014, 10:58:58 am sorry if I sound like I'm getting all DDD on ya, I just don't want any excuses taking away from how and why the seahawks dominated the game, to put it short it wasn't because denver played bad it was because the seahawks dominated them in all 3 phases of the game
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Autumn1194 on February 04, 2014, 11:00:27 am And they played bad.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Termin8or on February 04, 2014, 11:03:14 am You can't say it was all seahawks D when the football is tossed past Manning to start the game, when Denver players are fumbling the ball, running and not holding onto the ball properly, and flat out being lazy. I'm sorry, but on at least one interception, the Denver player just stood there and watched the ball come up short. He did nothing to try and get it. I didn't take anything away from the Hawks D:
Quote It's very good . Just because they are good doesn't mean that Denver didn't play poorly and just because I said Denver played poorly it doesn't mean that Seattle's defense wasn't good.Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Permanent Poopface on February 04, 2014, 11:06:00 am the only reason they played bad was because the seahawks made them play bad, **** manning completed more passes in the game then any other qb in super bowl history, the difference is the seahawks werent gonna give them the run after catch yards that they have been so use to all season long, they punished them after the catch. And manning didn't have time to throw the long ball because of guys in his face and coverage. What they did real bad though was tackle, thats one thing they could control on there own without the seahawks influencing it and they sucked at tackling
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on February 04, 2014, 11:12:30 am The article where the ref overheard something is from a satire website. You guys are gullible.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Termin8or on February 04, 2014, 11:13:30 am It's like this Dave, the Hawks D was great against San Fran too, but San Fran played quite well and almost won the game. If they had converted that first play into a TD instead of a field goal then things might be very different right now.
Denver flat out played badly. Not necessarily all Manning's fault....Denver D sucked big time and the Denver receivers/RBs didn't play very well. Give me a break, how many times did Thomas almost or did lose a first down. The guy kept running backwards even when Seattle wasn't close to him. I don't know if it was nerves or what, but Denver was not playing a good game. Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Permanent Poopface on February 04, 2014, 11:26:50 am ok we both have different opinions on it and thats fine, we can just leave it at that. Maybe we can agree that the NFC Championship was the real Super Bowl
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on February 04, 2014, 11:48:35 am Seattle and San Fran are similar, Denver is not. They are not a physical team and it showed. The Denver offence lead the league in YAC but Seattle DBs come off the routes so quickly. Denver isn't even close to Seattle levels. San Fran and Seattle are far and away the best teams in the NFL right now.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Turboweasle on February 04, 2014, 01:57:15 pm I'm sorry, but on at least one interception, the Denver player just stood there and watched the ball come up short. He did nothing to try and get it. Yeah wasn't that Moreno? That play is when I pretty much just stopped watching the game. The utter lack of effort on his part was pretty representative of the performance of the rest of the skill position players, and it showed. Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! I'm not sure that's a lack of effort and more of an "oh shit" moment. Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Termin8or on February 04, 2014, 06:15:13 pm I agree there was an oh **** moment, but still no movement. That's just one example.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: dudedudedude for Moderator on February 04, 2014, 06:17:18 pm That's preparation, not lack of effort. Give Pete Carroll two weeks to prepare and he will out coach you.
Title: Re: BREAKING NEWS! Post by: Termin8or on February 04, 2014, 06:53:09 pm It's total lack of effort. Denver didnt show for the game. I don't care how much you brag up Seattle, Denver didnt show. |
