16  General Discussion / Entertainment / The All-Seeing Eye / Re: Getting my medical mary jane card on Monday on: March 13, 2014, 07:23:31 pm
Speaking of anecdotal evidence, using MMJ for the past few days (got my card on Monday, March 10), I've felt that my body is less tense.

I've pretty much solely been vaporizing, as the smoke is too harsh, but I feel like my pain is much more tolerable as I observe and try to relax my body.
This does not mean I'm going out for runs now, and I certainly still can't do many stretches that have me bending forward, but I feel like the muscle relaxation is even apparent several hours after vaping.

cannabis cream is amazing for sore muscles, u don't get high you just get high on life because your stoked not to be hurting anymore

I'm very interested in something like this as well. I just want to be able to run again. Or sit down in a chair without thinking about pain.

As someone who has had surgery for ruptured discs, **** is not the answer and I am sickened that anyone with a medical degree would feign that it is.

It's known that marijuana is a much safer alternative than many prescription drugs, as well as drugs that people often abuse (alcohol/tobacco cigarettes).

There are forms of marijuana that are higher in CBD and lower in THC, meaning that they have the potential for pain relief without feeling "high" whatsoever.

I don't know what your gripes are with the plant, but many people (who are in much more serious distress than I) have found benefits for it.

It took close to a year for me to get pain free from a herniated disc, the cure, stretching.  Weightlifting in college did me in, some of the worst pain ever.  You can get thru this without the dope but good luck.

Glad you pulled through. It really is terrible pain.

There are a lot of stretches that I can't even do right now.

I think my hamstrings are just really, really tight, but I don't know any exercises to stretch them that are relatively pain free for me.

Back in August, I noticed a tightness in my right glute (butt cheek for all you kechuas), but didn't think too much of it.

In late September/early October, the uncomfortable sensation transformed into a lot of pain, starting from my glute down my whole leg, and into my feet. I've felt everything from numbness to sharp pain in and around those areas since then.

Now for the past 3 months or so, my lower back has felt really ****ty as well. I had already assumed several months ago that there was a herniated disc/sciatica, and an MRI proved that. I've been through Physical Therapy, and I've seen a few specialists/doctors. The pain is still there.

I haven't been able to run/workout like I've always done, and I try to avoid sitting whenever possible (I do not sit to eat meals).

I wanted to apply for a MMJ patient card so that I wouldn't have to take codeine and the like.
Today, I was approved, and I'm going in Monday to get my photo taken.

tl;dr I've had sciatica/herniated disc pain for 5+ months, and I've had to stop running and lifting moderate/heavy weight completely. Applied to the MMJ program to see if it may be beneficial as a pain reliever.

Maybe I will be able to do certain stretches/exercises that I couldn't before.
Also, being able to legally purchase **** is also a plus. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a card partly for that reason, and the fact that I very much enjoy the feeling as opposed to other drugs/substances.

Here's to better days  Afro
I hope....

I'm not interested in any PS4 games right now. But, I'm sure that will change within the next year or two. PS3 really had its turn around during 2009. From then on, it has been an amazing console to own.

From CoD4 to Ghosts, MW3 has been the worst by far....
