Am I the only one who uses the AS50?
Love it. Even though Drag is better in almost every way it isn't equal to, It's the high power sniper rifle I main. Wish it had the same movement speed as the bolt actions + Drag though, to give it more of a niche over Barret 50 cal.

I think in terms of balance, out of all the CoD games since COD4, this game has the worst balance in sniper rifles.. By that I mean, how each sniper rifle stacks against each other in each game..
In previous Cod games, Developers gave almost every sniper rifle their own niche, but in MW3, not so much.
The Dragunov, L118A, and the AS50 are completely outclassed by the RSASS, MSR, and the Barret 50 cal. Hell, it's even arguable to say that the MSR isn't as good as the Barret in most situations (due to not having semi auto fire and 2X as less mag size), though it does have a faster movement speed.
It's bad enough that RSASS is m21 on steroids(20 mag size? the hell), but because the Drag lost the chest multiplier, it's outclassed by the RSASS in almost every way (minus movement speed) it isn't equal to (power and semi auto fire), which would be less recoil, 2X the mag size/ammo, faster reload, and faster raise/drop times.
L118 has nothing over the MSR. MSR has same power, and RoF. But a faster reload and draw/raise times.
AS50 has less sway than Barret, because of less zoom, but nothing much else. Slightly faster reload, but that doesn't make up for having half the mag size, or 6X less RoF (200 RPM vs 1200 RPM). I wish the AS50 at least had 90% movement speed...

Gaming Boards / Call of Duty: MW3 / Please help me get the Dragunov in this game to be patched!

Sup guys! Haven't talked to you for a long time! As many of the sniping community already knows, this gun sucks ass in this game. It lost its chest multiplier, and can't OSOK in any area whatsoever with the silencer. Well, I've been doing everything I can in an attempt to get this patched.. and.. I'm gaining momentum on this.. I'm directly trying to contact an IW developer who works on patches to patch the Dragunov to OSOK to the chest w/out a silener, and head and neck with silencer. If you don't have a callofduty.com account, please Like my post below and/or comment, if you want the Dragunov to get patched. Every single like and comment matters! http://community.callofduty.com/message/205423453#205423453Also, check out this video. My youtube friend who supports the Dragunov getting a patch, mentioned me. Watch the video.. And if can, tell this to everyone.. Make a video supporting us, if you want! Anything will do to help the Drag get patched! my friend's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMuMK6UiGokP.S. Talking to an Treyarch Wii developer about this the other day. Wii Treyarch team can't get it patched on wii, without IW's permission/they have to get it patched on HD versions first. So once they get it, they'll give us the green light as well!! Thanks!

i love the faster spawning, domination matches seem like more of a challenge now, but i still freeze when i try look at the leaderboards Just curious... Is your name colored? I heard that causes the freezing, from someone I played with. I will try that later for myself, if no one else tries it. I'm getting those rare host freezes in a match still ( though I don't think it was addressed in the patch), and its somewhat annoying.

Still a lot of things that need to be patched... But already, I love +no more spamming maps (can't be played more than twice consecutively) +faster spawn times +OSOK with silenced sniper rifle (suppressor attachment only. No warlord, for now) in head and neck. Biggest surprise from above was the OSOK w/ silenced sniper rifles. I was just getting headshots left and right with my Dragunov (about 4-6 at least). It truly felt amazing. I haven't used hacker yet to see through walls or ninja, but I've heard they work now. PSG1 OSOks int eh stomach also, though I haven't used it myself.

I use Spectre a lot and ive used it with Rapid Fire but I cant tell for sure if it works or not Same here. I was using spectre 2 prestiges ago w/ rapid fire, and I never really noticed myself. Just try it. Set up two classes. One w/ out rapid fire, and one w/ rapid fire. Try to notice how fast the magazine empties for each class set. Though most likely, you can hear how fast they empty before even timing it. And report the results here? AK7u, MP5k, and Skorpion are supposed to cap at 1000 RPM w/ rapid fire... But it makes me wonder if Treyarch just put a cap on 937.5 RPM on all smgs? Hmm. Who knows. But it would be kind of hard to tell between 937.5 RPM and 1000 RPM for me.

Someone tested MPL, and I tested w/ the Uzi and Mac 11. Rapid Fire doesn't work on those smgs for sure. W/ and w/out rapid fire, they all fire at 937 RPM instead of firing supposedly at 1250 RPM w/ rapid fire attachment. I'm not sure if its capped just for the Wii version, because I did ask 360 users on gamefaqs about it, and they said it seems to be working for them.
So.. I'm assuming all the 30-20 smgs w/ rapid fire attachment is a waste.
Mac-11, Uzi, PM63, MPL, Spectre, Kiparis
But if someone can check PM63, Spectre, and Kiparis, just in case, that would be nice.
I have checked with MP5k, Ak74u, and Skorpion, and they all work w/ rapid fire.
