Gaming Boards / Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 / This was the Wii's Counter Strike

I know that there's no way anyone cares now, but **** it anyways. People always seem to talk about this game like the community was the saving grace of the game, but I think it really was an awesome game. What I mean by comparing it to Counter Strike is that there was no BS. No perks, killstreaks, useless guns (even though CS has a crapton of useless guns but whatever), or odd gimmicks to get in the way. Also, although this is exclusive to the Wii, I'd say this was the only game where lag was manageable. Sure there were a few people with lag shield to the lag shield, but for the most part if you practiced a gun enough it was possible to consistently hit your target. In every CoD before Black Ops (IDK about MW3 because that game is ****), I was forced to guesstimate the amount of lag shooting I would have to do for each individual match, and even if I got it right who knows if it would actually count. Black Ops was much better, but it still had bullets that would vanish into nothingness a lot of the time.
I'm nostalgic about MoHH2 because it actually did a lot of things right in a market that consistently attempts to add "features" that turn into gimmicks. Isn't that why Counter Strike remains so popular to this day? I play CSS and even 1.6 quite a bit sometimes, so I have some idea of what I'm talking about. I'm still pissy at EA for shutting this game down. I understand that they always shut down games that fall below 10% of the players or whatever, but it's not like those cash cows couldn't make an exception. Maybe I overestimate the amount of people that would actually want this game back, though...
THAT'S WHY I'M STARTING A PETITIO-ok, no, i give up...*sniff* *sniff* BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Me and Red Fatality were pretty much nemeses when he was still using the STG. Many epic shootouts for both of us... I remember Coolhand, Bramlet, and F5 Wraith giving me the most trouble in all the Port DMs I played.

I had MoH since the beginning, so I have way too many memories to list. Most of those memories are related to BC though, so I guess joining BC for this game would be my best memory. I know I had some great games with some of you, but it's been so long I just can't remember everyone I played. I pretty much left Wii after WaW came out and everyone jumped on that, and for good reason: WaW was ****. MoH was THE **** for a number of reasons: 32 players, custom game options, no friend codes, lots of stats, the best community, server list, CTF, challenging glitches (I'd never do them in pubs, but they were pretty fun to try out with friends), decent maps... The community was the best part though. No hacks until the game was dead, community organized ladders, and the fact that it was the first online FPS on Wii made a pretty strong community for the game. People actually stuck to their clans, which was awesome. WT was always the clan to beat, but you had other well established clans such as TEC, F5 and AOW.You'd always have an idea of who you were going up against, which was pretty cool. I was never that great of a player, but I could definitely hold my own and was as elite as pubstars get . I was good enough to recognize the amount of skill people had, and skilled they were! Seeing all the true elites in action was very impressive, and you could definitely tell exactly how skilled someone was after playing them. I remember 2v2ing GeezyG and seeing him at his best, and man DAT NOSCOPE. There were a lot of people who had certain strengths, and just generally a really decent pool of great players. Definitely the number one experience on Wii by far. It's been fun, guys. Hopefully I get to play with some of you in the last remaining days, since I just started playing again tonight

My urge to buy this is at a permanent standstill after the POS known as TC.
1. They need to fix all the glitches and bugs, or at least what they can. I don't have to explain why.
2. They need to read a book on level design. Ditch the copypasta hallways and square rooms, give it some color and interesting objects. Maybe they should look at Halo or Unreal Tournament.
3. Ditch the aimbot. No, that's NOT aim assist. It was complete BS in TC that took no skill at all which made it so incredibly boring to play. I felt like I was hacking.
4. No one likes constant explosive matches. Make it so that in public matches you can only play the same guns/map once in a row or something.
5. Fix the massive FPS drop online when you have a lot of people.
If they manage to fix most of that, I will buy it. Until I know what other people think, no dice.
4. Fix the massive FPS drop.

Yeah I'm getting this, everyone who I've talked to that has it says it's really good. Can't wait, I think I'm going to get WiiSpeak but idk how many people have it too. Does anyone who has this have WiiSpeak? How is it?
and lol yeah I couldn't believe it when I heard this was a Wii game, I mean you can talk on WIISPEAK with STRANGERS? I bet Microsoft bought Nintendo.
Wait Mex you can really use the GC controller? Because I googled it and people say you can only use the CC and Wiimote...
