Ummm, I may have mentioned in my previous post(s) but we DID offer that. We offered many alternatives:
1) Cancel war
2) Redo whole war since it became a match of who can nitpick rules more, not skill
3) What you suggested - 1-1 and play 3rd for win.
Since we won first by 5 and they won 2nd by 1, 3rd host was us (this method was agreed upon). This is why they were refusing to do anything except "give us win for first one still and we will redo 2nd." Why should we agree to stay with the disadvantage when both teams screwed up? Shouldn't it be a fair 1-1? We offered all 3 alternatives many times, but they refused to budge. Like I said above, if TKO was the type to blindly accept wins at the cost of boards like this, I would be out so fast that they wouldn't know where I went.
hmmm. where in those options does TKO get the win without the 3rd match? That is where my problem is.
Now I wasn't here for any of this but I talked with the guys from TKO for details on what happened. Basically Jerk offered all of those options and IMO they actually look decent. Re-doing the entire war at a different time would be better way to end this than what really did happen. The reason that they disputed on the reason of ineligible player is because BC had reported that they won the war. They didn't want the loss and knew they didn't deserve the win but it was just a chain of events I guess.
I wouldn't know anything about the agreements on the ineligible player because as I said before, I wasn't there. Gamebattles rules are very stupid and it's a shame how many fights start over it. When we used clan ladders through GameFAQs on MoH, there was almost never a problem. Hopefully on The Conduit we can create a separate ladder on Wii Unite where it wouldn't cause any trouble. I would say the same about CoD, but I think it's too late because everyone is too obsessed with their current Gamebattles scores already.
It shouldn't have been taken as far as to create flame threads about it. Honestly, just a full cancellation would have been the best way to go.
