1  Gaming Boards / The Conduit / Conduit 2 / Re: New Conduit Community Chat on: September 01, 2009, 06:46:57 pm
Actually it requires one active committed person, of which we have more than one.

I love how all the WII UNITE admins are telling me to bring the community here. This isn't a competition. I guess I'll have to say that again.

Chat >> all. Forums don't give the instant access needed. Sorry.
2  Gaming Boards / The Conduit / Conduit 2 / Re: New Conduit Community Chat on: August 31, 2009, 11:44:09 pm
It's difficult to endorse a site like WU when its Conduit community lacks. It's also nice having a chat. I guess you see this as some type of competition, and it's not like that. We are trying to strengthen and keep living what's left of the TCON community.

So please don't think this is an attack on WU. We just use the household "Wii" name, for the purposes of expansion. Please keep that in mind.

Hello everyone, Fluxus here. I have been lucky enough to help in the advertising process of a new Wii community gaming effort.

http://wiigaminghub.yolasite.com

This site is desgined to centralize Wii online gaming into a tolerable community. This site will be used to find matches, wars, play privates, and make friends with others in the community. It will provide and ACTIVE place to spend time playing your favorite Wii online games.

The focus of the site/chat is the Conduit at the moment, and the sole reason for that is to populate and strengthen the community. We want more people playing, purchasing, and competitively playing the game. This site will begin that effort. We plan to expand as games such as Modern Warfare, Red Steel, and The Grinder come out. But this site needs your help, and is actually a very cool place. Think of it as an "allisbrawl" (if you know what that is) for the Wii FPS community.

At the very least, pay the site/chat a visit and come by and say hello. You may that you might actually like it anyway Smiley

See you there.

Depending on the success of this one, Core Velocity may host a teams tournament.

Custom made, to the best of my sig makers ability.

I don't care as long as it's 12 or higher.

By the way, if you guys know anyone who would be interested in this feel free to tell them about it and have them sign up.
11  Gaming Boards / The Conduit / Conduit 2 / Re: Signups for Core Velocity's FFA Invitational (Prizes) Sunday, July 26th on: July 23, 2009, 02:22:25 am
If I move this to Monday the 27th does it affect anyone?
12  Gaming Boards / The Conduit / Conduit 2 / Signups for Core Velocity's FFA Invitational (Prizes) Sunday, July 26th on: July 22, 2009, 04:28:34 pm
Core Velocity is bringing you and the Conduit community its first ever tournament with winnable prizes. This tournament will contour to the best of the best, and as such only the best and most serious players will be accepted first.

IMPORTANT: You must be available on Sunday from 7-10 EST. Anyone is free to sign up, but Core Velocity will make the final decision on who is accepted. CV will not discriminate against anyone. We will allow players in the tourney based on skills displayed in the Conduit.

What's up for grabs:
Microsoft/Wii Points (Your choice)
$15 iTunes gift card
Graphic (Sig or banner)

1st place will get a choice between the three, then second place chooses, and third gets what is left over.

Rules:
24 entrants.
Quick match. Free for all.
Random Maps, random weapon set between Near/Far, Drudge, and Trust. Decided 30 minutes before the first matches. NO explosives, chargeable
Wii Speak: Allowed.
No hackers, or hacking.

How this tournament will be ran:
2 FFA's of twelve players, last 3 placers from each are out, leaving 18.
2 more FFA's of nine players, last 3 placers from each are out, leaving 12.
1 last FFA of twelve players, first 3 placers from each get a prize.

The whole thing will be hosted out of CV's site, www.co-v.net

I MAY bump this tournament up to 36 entrants if enough people sign up. So tell your clanmates and friends and anyone else who may be interested.

Anyone is free to sign up, and if I don't get all the best players signing up, then you will just get in by default. So putting your name here cannot hurt!

NOTE: Please write your name and your state because I may order the FFA's by region. This is a North American tournament only. You MUST BE AT LEAST a rank 12 to participate in this tournament!

Example:
[CV]Fluxus
Colorado
Rank 19.

If you have signed up at WiiUnite or Gamebattles thread, do NOT sign up here! Double signers will not be considered. I will be able to keep track of anyone.
13  Gaming Boards / The Conduit / Conduit 2 / Re: Possible Conduit FFA tournament with prizes. on: July 08, 2009, 11:00:09 pm
Seahawks sucks anyway.

Ok well it's gonna go through.
14  Gaming Boards / The Conduit / Conduit 2 / Re: Possible Conduit FFA tournament with prizes. on: July 08, 2009, 01:25:06 pm
Rofl Flawless obviously doesn't know me.

I have never hosted an FPS tourney before. But if you are familiar with SSBB... I ran 2 of the largest clan wars between the only online ladders (GB and AiB) and I hosted a 112 man tournament for SSBB with top 5 getting prizes. To boot, they all ran smoothly. My credibility as well as commitment is there.

I like to give back to the community, and this is my form of doing it. This tournament is for you guys, not me.

That being said, I can 100% guarantee that this tournament will happen if I get the interest required. So don't you worry buddy.

Another thing, don't fill up my thread with nonsense and pointless drama. This is CV's tournament thread, not socialization central. I will ensure if you disrespect my clan, tourney, our myself you won't be competing. Thank you.

LAST THING: I am not taking signups right now. I just want to see how many people are interested. I may also be bumping up the entrants from 24 to 36.
