And I do hate how everyone backs out whenever the map switches up ._.

I like the old maps a lot - the new ones are just too massive (Cold War aside, but I'm still not a Rush player since Defense has always been boring) but I'm basically the only one who sticks around when the maps switch up >_>

Its been a week, can you please stay when something that isn't VIP7 pops up? The sad part is that I think I've played VIP7 maps more than some of the older ones (Laguna Alta and Nelson Bay in particular) already.

I like Heavy Metal since it put the Hind in CQ though...my SPM is on a constant decline from piloting a transport all round but I don't care, its hilarious. I've gotten around 30 Hind roadkills since they added it in.

I like Oasis CQ too. Harvest Day CQ is okay, the Rush variant is terrible (snipers everywhere + 5,000 tanks? **** that). Oasis Rush is the new Atacama Desert unfortunately, can't Defend without seeing a bunch of fruits circle-strafing our base while half the team watches the AA gun. We never get pushed back but god damn is it ever annoying.

The Blackhawk buff seems so unnecessary. now its a **** machine

Slugs are useless, the G3/M14 with optics are ok (I'd say the G3 is better since it can two-shot the head at any range with mag and full-auto up close) but not broken or anything. just really overused right now.

Fixing vehicle counter-measures AND lowering the reload speed was a terrible idea, now the tracer is pointless.


They should have fixed the spec, then made it so you can only flare twice with the copter or it takes a minute to reload. The tracer is effectively pointless now as you'll have to tag something twice in 15 seconds to shoot it down.

The MG3 nerf was needed, the Carl one was basically only from PC player whining, the AN94 should have been toned down a while ago, the VADS nerf isn't really doing anything (22.5 damage down to 20 what a joke) and slugs should have been left alone.

They raped the hip-fire accuracy :(

The way recoil works in every CoD game, the larger the number = the more likely the weapon is to kick in that particular direction. Obviously if three numbers tie then it's logistically impossible for two directions to 'cancel out' and result in strictly vertical recoil.

I'm just not-seeing it. I notice no vertical recoil on the AUG, yet apparently that's all it has, while on a weapon like the AK47, the only things you see are a combination of slight vertical/visual yet it features the same recoil pattern.

Going by that rubric the M60, Stoner63, MPL and MP5 should have strictly-vertical recoil but from my experience with them that's just not the case.

I'm usually good in the pilot seat until IRS hits the fan and i've got a tracer on me. I always panic and we end up plastered against the side of a hill or buried deep in a giant crater... the ground came out of nowhere, I swear

Dodging a traced rocket is more luck than anything, sometimes it gets caught in your choppers gravitational field and orbits 12 times before hitting you, sometimes if you dive low enough and put some elevated ground/building between you it'll impact the ground and you'll be unharmed.

Generally don't get traced much. Occasionally if I do I just have a friend jump out and launch a smoke grenade at the bird, then we take off and proceed to **** more face.

Remember, 12+ DPS for the Attack Helicopters or you're wasting the only good thing about them.

Heavy Metal has one transport and one attack helo for each side.


Apparently the points are spread out far enough to justify throwing a transport on even though they can't damage tanks. Personally I'm just psyched for transports in Conquest - I love flying the Hind but that means I have to play that garbage mode Rush.

VIP Map Pack 7 comes out next Tuesday according to zh1nto, no word on the patch.

Oasis and Harvest Day will be playable in all modes, Cold War will be in every mode except Conquest while Heavy Metal will be in every mode except Rush.

Apparently they didn't like the way they translated into a different mode. Heavy Metal will be the ultimate vehicle combat map - it has 4 helicopters and 8 tanks. holy ****

I hope they bring back the KA-52 for Oasis.


It's basically a regular attack helicopter with the weapons reversed. I think it'd be neato.

the XM8-Compact is awesome


though if you're playing with friends the 9A-91 is amazing, since I only like it with optics and you need an assault player to tape an ammo box to your ass if you wanna get more-than 7 kills in a life.

The SCAR-L is awesome too, it has a ton of ammo, high-power and awesome irons.

I really want to get 500 kills with the blowtorch Engineer gadget but the US Engineer looks like a humping nerd

I might play Assault more in Vietnam for the M79/AK47.

eh the AK is in every other semi-modern shooter imaginable, I don't think it's too bummed out about being left out of Vanilla BC2.


besides we have two modern variants of it anyway.

flamethrower tanks look like the new IFVs. awesome sauce, unless that's what you get with v-alt in which case **** you Dice just get rid of that spec already, I want a decent co-ax gunner on my tank, not one that takes 7-9 hits to kill someone.


as for overpowered I doubt it. The AK looks like it's going to be 20-14.3 so it might end up being the new Abakan.


but with inaccuracy thank god.
