As for the destruction, I have to say I think I know what they were going for in Bf3. Kind of like Lego pieces. it seemed almost everything could be damaged or destroyed but not obliterated. In BC2 it was fun because it was like WWII air raids: total destruction. In Bf3 it seems more targeted. It you wanted to blow up a window and the building, you had to do it separately.
I agree with LT, if you could obliterate everything then it would be an open field.
For the record, I liked destruction in BC2 better.
And, I actually liked the close quarter maps and conquest. But, I haven't played them much anymore because I like more players not just 8v8.
And, And, one complaint about the DLC: It seemed in every package, the maps were the same set up pretty much, just different skin. In other words, all the Close Quarters maps played almost the same, All the aftermath maps played almost the same etc.

I didn't have a problem with the Premium fee of $50. Of course I would have like to pay less, but Bf3 is the last game I have purchased and still about the only game I play. So, for me, I've spent $100 on gaming since October of 2011, pretty cheap IMO. And, while I haven't enjoyed Bf3 as much as I had hoped, with premium/DLC think about all you got with it. There are so many maps and game modes it's ridiculous, unless you play non-stop as I did with BC2. I really haven't had a chance or wanted to try all the stuff with the DLC packs. I still pretty much play TDM on the original maps.
As for Bf4, I'm sure I'll get it but I've been trying not to play during the work week but I sure am making it up this summer.

I have to agree with LT, you really do need to mix styles to be most successful. I usually don't bother moving around because I'll get killed on the move. So I just find a place close to my spawn. sometimes I get 5 or 6 kills, others I get killed immediately. I actually have tried recently to "play smart". Look, find cover, fire, take cover and so forth.
A tip for xbow: the high power bolt goes straight as, well, an arrow. very little drop so regardless of distance aim for the head. This allows me to get those really long headshots.
The explosive bolt has quite a bit of lob so it takes a lot of loft to go any distance.
1700 kills with the xbow, LOL!

Yeah, it seems only LT managed to do positive against those guys. It was frustrating spawning and dying.
As for guns, I'm going to say that I don't really think it changes too much as you level up. The guns might be different, but not really better. I know the others can chime in. And, as for playing the support/ammo role, well most of those guns are useless IMO if you're going to run-and-gun. Too big, to heavy, to slow in close quarters and way to much recoil. While the M240B might be my best weapon with over 4000 kills, most of those come from using the bipod and camping.
So, my advice on weapons, don't use the heavy machine guns unless you plan on camping. I have never been comfortable with any of the weapons in any set up.
The SKS is really good, it's a semi-auto sniper.

Ha Ha, Turd. You know I don't look for anyone, but given the choice, you know I'll go after you over some noob. It is quite satisfying to tag someone who is running and watch them drop. Almost as satisfying as getting a head shot on some guy 100meters away with his 12x scope and my no-scope xbow.

It's all good K. As long as you don't mind me hiding, waiting to use my xbow. Every once in a while, I pull out my big gun, eh-hem, the M240 and prop it and unload 200 rounds. Usually it's when the medic train starts or there is a corridor. I've actually gotten pretty good at run-and-gun with the xbow.
Yeah JD, nobody left that game we were in even though it wasn't very close.

Since the summer began I've been playing, a lot. I still pretty much suck with every weapon so I use the xbow about 90% since it's introduction. I don't like the objective based games, mostly because I'm not very good. My motto now is pretty much spawn, find cover and spot enemies and go for xbow kills. Some games I do well, others not so much. My final two games' score last night, 1-20 followed by 11-9; both were using the xbow and against the same players.
I now have over 1400 kills with the xbow, but it's slow going.

yep. I use all 3 types regularly. Usually the explosive just in the beginning to knock out some walls, then I try to find a place to camp and use which ever bolt would help out the most.
Some games are more frustrating than others though. Some games I get tons of hits and kill assists, others, it seems nothing is registering. The games when I'm close to equal in k/d then the bolts are working. If its 4 kills and 20 deaths, then the bolts aren't registering.
BTW, got my 8th star with it last night.
