Good games lakkus.

I've been using the Xbow by the way, in the post above, touch screens...

LT I tried switching but it didn't let me. I still enjoy tdm so I mist switched shortly after. I've been using the show mostly. Slow going but very satisfying. Closing in on 200 kills.

Yeah GG. Some were better than others.

I played quite a bit more last night and some more today.  Kids are both sick so I've been home.  Anyway, CTF is either really fun or completely frustrating IMO.  Like you said crazy, it all depends on your squad.

BTW, riding on the back of the bike with my M240 and extra mag is really fun too.  And your right LT, the bipod is really useful including taking out dirtbikes and the pilot of the small choppers  Afro

I am not disappointed in premium.  When I got premium, I had a total of 50 hours of playing time in 9 months.  In the time since, I have put in another 225 hours and if it wasn't for close quarters, I'd probably not be playing at all.  Close quarters is what actually got me playing the game more.

I do agree, most of the maps/game modes I don't like very much. In fact now if you look at it, there are so many modes, it's almost impossible to figure them out.  The thing I like about TDM is that I don't get mad/frustrated at my team mates. When a quality team plays objective based games, it's a wipeout.  I say that coming from both sides; someone who understands team work and someone who doesn't know what the hell is going on.

I will say, I enjoy the bipod and sniping can be fun in the right maps on TDM. I like that there is lots of cover.

Something I don't  like is that all of the action on TDM seemed to happen in the same locations, everyone seemed to run to the same parts of the map. I think that's what makes conquest enjoyable, you are forced to battle in different locations.  The issue in BF3 is that sometimes there were 5 flags, 5 or 6 vehicles per team and only 12 players.  I had the same dislike for Atacama Desert and Heavy Metal. Too far apart for infantry, too long to run and if half of your squad was in vehicles, then your were out numbered by the others.

I'll add more as I think of it. Both good and bad.

Yeah, despite the fact that it is the only game I've purchased in the last what, 18 months? I really don't think it's all that great. I just don't want to spend anymore money on games. The game just didn't have that fun factor. I keep trying but just can't find it.

My biggest complaints are visuals or as you said artistic design factor. The maps really aren't that great either. I also could never find a go to gun. You're right about the grind and bottleneck and emptiness. More later maybe...

I'm jealous.  I never really got a chance to play 'Nam, it just didn't interest me that much.  By the time I got interested all, all the servers were empty.

As for lag, I tried joining you guys the other night, and same thing.  I couldn't even spawn.  Oh well, maybe soon it'll work out alright.  As for aim, I definitely lost anything I had before.  My sensitivity in BF3 is all the way down and about 70% up in BC2 and I couldn't even control the M1Garand the other night.

I think the use of recon depends on the situation.  When your team is winning, it can be useful to be the lookout, I know I do it sometimes.  Also if it  seems the other team has a few spotters in a close game, I'll swith temporarily to try to even things up.  I do know this, when my team is outnumbered in combat situations or outnumbered trying to cap flags, a recon up on the hill is useless regardless of his/her score.

GG's last night.  I wish I didn't have to quit in the middle of the White Pass game.  Those guys were good and it would have been fun to play some competitive games for a while.

I'll try to get on some more.

yes we watch netflix a lot, but have been for years. We get 18mbps and nobody was watching at the time. Still, last night was unusual.  I joined SBC for a few minutes before joining you and had no trouble. I play BF3 regularly and it's not an issue.

I know sound is critical, I used to play with it on or with the sony headset. Once I started playing with the headset, it was a whole new world.

My Ps3 is hardwired; it must have been the server location or something crazy. Of course, two U-verse TV boxes (always taking bandwidth), my son was on the other Ps3, but that's normal, an itouch and a laptop all taking bandwith, so that might have been the problem. But that stuff is the norm around here and it's never been that bad.

I don't play with the volume loud enough to hear the game anymore and if I would have tried to mic last night, who knows what would have happened. Really strange, I've never seen it that bad before.

Well, I was no use tonight.  I had to wait about a minute to spawn everytime, even my spawn counter would countdown from 15 or 20 seconds and I couldn't spawn on you Kreater, oh well. Everyone was teleporting and my Ps3 froze after both games in Arica and finally once in Laguna so I quit. Probably the worst internet issue I've had since I've owned Ps3, not sure why.
45  Gaming Boards / Battlefield 3 / Re: Post your Top 5 and how you feel about it on: February 19, 2013, 08:31:56 pm
Just kidding ^^^^^^^^^^

Recon really is useless unless you're running with the team  and dropping spawn beacons.  As for the TUGS v. MAV, I try, try to get the MAV in a good location that can't be reached by foot and harder to shoot.

The game really is different than BC2. I stopped playing most modes in both BC2 and BF3 other than TDM because most people don't play as a squad and when your run into those who do, it's usually not even close.

I give props to LT for playing with me. The other day in a TDM, it was 500 tickets, argh! anyway he was the only positive player on our team and he had about 100 of our 350 kills. We got slaughtered and he had the best score in the game.
